Marco Rubio Stands Up, Speaks Out on Religious Persecution of Christians in Malaysia and Laos

Millions of Evangelical Christians here in America are deeply concerned about the religious persecution of Christians overseas. Sen. Marco Rubio spoke passionately about this issue the other day at a Senate Foreign Relations hearing.

He questioned President Obama’s nominees to be ambassadors of Malaysia and Laos on their commitment to religious freedom. He didn’t want lip service from them. He wants to see real action. Watch the exchanges below.

Daniel Clune is looking to become the U.S. ambassador to Laos and Joseph Yun is hoping to become the ambassador to Malaysia. Rubio may run for president in 2016 and you can be sure that the religious freedom issue will be a big part of his platform if and when he decides to reach out to conservative evangelicals in the GOP Primaries.
