Stevie Wonder And Trayvon Martin

The fallout from the George Zimmerman verdict has gone to the next level and we're not talking violence. Stevie Wonder is boycotting the state of Florida! Say it ain't so! I guess the state is not the "sunshine of his life." Read more from the Hollywood Reporter below:

In the wake of the George Zimmerman acquittal, the singer said he would not be performing in the Sunshine State until its Stand Your Ground law is "abolished." He also said he would not be performing in any other state that recognizes the law, which some say contributed to Zimmerman's acquittal in the shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin on Feb. 26, 2012.

"I decided today that until the Stand Your Ground law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again," Wonder said Sunday while performing in Quebec City. "As a matter of fact, wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world."

In case you don't know, these "Stand Your Ground" laws say that someone can use force as long as its in self-defense and so long as there is a reasonable belief of a threat. There's more to it but that's the bottom line.

Look, I feel for Trayvon Martin's family. I really do. But based on the evidence, it's really hard to see how the jury could come to any other conclusion than what they did. I'm not saying George Zimmerman is a good guy but technically what was the jury supposed to do with the evidence that was actually introduced into the case?
