Video Only on Brody File: Iowa Evangelical Political Conference to 'Infuse Biblical Worldview'

In an interview you will only see on The Brody File, influential Iowa evangelical leader Bob Vander Plaats, head of The Family Leader organization says that the goal of the group’s big weekend conference “is to infuse biblical worldview.”

Rick Santorum, Ted Cruz and Donald Trump will headline the big event on Saturday.

The event will also focus on spiritual revival and center on the Bible verse from 2 Chronicles 7:14, which says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Vander Plaats, who is well liked and respected by Iowa’s evangelical community, played a huge role in helping determine Iowa’s Republican Caucus winner in 2008 and 2012. He endorsed Mike Huckabee in 2008 and Rick Santorum in 2012.

Bob Vander Plaats: Our goal is to infuse biblical worldview.

The key word is “if.” That means there is a decision to be made. God is calling His people, His team members to humble themselves and pray and to see His face. He’s looking for authenticity and then to turn from our wicked ways then He’ll hear our prayers, then He’ll forgive our sins, then He’ll heal our land but revival is an inside out approach.

It’s not revive the United States and then we become revived. No, it’s we become revived, our marriages become revived, our families become revived, our churches become revived and the ripple effect is revival for our country so it’s inside out, not outside in.”
