Brody File Video Exclusive: Ted Cruz Prays for God's Will to be Done

In an exclusive interview with The Brody File, Sen. Ted Cruz says his prayer to God “is that His (God’s) will be done as it will be."

He goes on to say the following: “I think we are seeing revival; political revival, spiritual revival.”

This interview was done Friday afternoon in Sen. Cruz’s Capitol Hill office. A partial transcription and full video are below.

David Brody: You mentioned prayer. How do you see this as it relates to God because god is involved in the affairs of men…where do you see God in all of this fight that’s going on in your life right now?

Sen. Ted Cruz: Well, David at every stage my prayer to god is that His will be done as it will be.

Sen. Cruz: I am encouraged because I think we are seeing revival; political revival, spiritual revival. The answers in this country will not come from Washington DC. The answers in this country will come from the people and from America. I think the greatest divide in politics is not between Democrats and Republicans it is between entrenched politicians in Washington and the American people. Far too many politicians aren’t listening to the people and it’s been politicians in both parties who have gotten us into this mess.

In my view liberty is never safer than when politicians are terrified. I encourage the American people to hold every elected official accountable including me because at the end of the day our elected leaders work for the people and Washington has forgotten that and we need to get back to that.
