The Rock Star Has Landed: Ted Cruz Wins Values Voter Straw Poll
The Rock Star has arrived. Senator Ted Cruz just won the Values Voter Straw Poll. The Family Research Council’s event sparked nationwide interest.

Dr. Ben Carson finished tied for second with Rick Santorum. The grassroots LOVES Dr. Carson. He’ll be a force if he decides to make a run. There’s no clear sign of that. As for Gov. Chris Christie, he received just 1% of the straw poll votes. Not surprising considering it will be a heavy lift (no pun intended) for Christie to attract support within the Tea Party base of the party.

"The Values Voter straw poll reveals what conservative, Republican-leaning voters are looking for in a potential candidate. Values voters are looking for those who will refuse to be bound by the 'can't mentality' of the establishment and will challenge the status quo. In short, values voters, many of whom did not fully engage in the last election, are looking for a leader that will inspire them by challenging President Obama and speak clearly and directly to the challenges facing America.”
