The Brody File

Homosexuality and Repentence

Did you hear the remarks from state Congressman Glenn Gruenhagen from Minnesota? He says the gay lifestyle is a choice and a form of sexual addiction.

He makes the observation that there is simply, “no gay gene.” Here he is talking about the marriage issue.

I understand that it’s not politically correct nowadays to support traditional marriage, but let me say a few things regarding homosexuality.

Let’s start with this. The Brody File is a sinner. I don’t know about you but I sin everyday. So look, when evangelical Christians say that homosexuality is a sin, they’re not trying to make the sin of being gay any different than our sins. The difference is repentance. Those who have come to know Jesus Christ in a real and personal way have been forgiven of their sins. The blood of Christ washes them away.

That’s what happens when you have a born again experience. True Bible-believing Christians desperately want to see homosexuals turn away from a sinful lifestyle and begin a new life with Christ. We as Christians “hate the sin” but we don’t hate the sinner. And for those that do hate the sinner, then shame on you.

Look, the truth in all of this lies in the Bible. God’s word is clear when it comes to the fact that marriage should be between one man and one woman. There’s no way around it despite the efforts of many. God wants homosexuals to turn from their sin and live a life with him for all of eternity.

Evangelicals want that, too. Something to think about.
