Only On The Brody File: Joe Scarborough Says Conservatives Have To Stop Shouting
In an exclusive interview with The Brody File from 30 Rock in New York, MSNBC Morning Joe Host Joe Scarborough says conservatives need to take a page out of Ronald Reagan’s playbook and be ideologically conservative but moderate temperamentally. He also says he learned a valuable lesson as a congressman when battling President Clinton in the 1990’s. “Every time we were too vicious all we did is we made ourselves look bad and we made him (Bill Clinton) more sympathetic. I’m trying to get that message to my Republican brothers and sisters. They haven’t gotten it in the past. I think they’re going to in the future.”
The Brody File recently spoke with Scarborough on the set of his popular morning show. We not only talked on the set but also visited his office at 30 Rock where he shared some personal stories as well.

If we’re going to ever get back in the White House, if we’re going to win the suburbs of Philadelphia, if we’re going to win the I-4 corridor, if we’re going to win the suburbs of Columbus Ohio, we’ve got to understand that we’ve got to reach out to people who don’t usually vote Republican.”
