If you look up “Bonehead move” in the dictionary you will probably get a definition as follows:

Mitt Romney’s dishonest television ad that makes it seems how President Obama said something which he never really said.”

Unbelievable. Romney’s first ad that went up in New Hampshire Tuesday has taken the word misleading to a new level. It’s MITT-leading. Romney may be against amnesty, but is he FOR honesty?

His campaign purposely took President Obama’s words out of context to make a point about the bad economy. Surely they could have done that without making it look like Obama said, “If we keep talking about the economy, we’re going to lose.”

Actually, Obama was quoting John McCain in 2008. The entire Obama quote is as follows: “Sen. McCain’s campaign actually said, and I quote, if we keep talking about the economy, we’re going to lose.”

The flip-flop label has dogged Romney for years so he has a deception problem. This ad just makes it that much tougher for people to believe Romney. That’s the last thing he needs.

The ad can be viewed here.
