Brody File Exclusive: Marco Rubio's New 'Faith' Ad in Iowa

01-06-2016

Marco Rubio will go up with a new television ad in Iowa this weekend. It’s entitled, “Faith” and The Brody File has it first. Have a look below along with the transcription.

Marco Rubio Ad:

"Our goal is eternity, the ability to live alongside our Creator and for all time, to accept the free gift of salvation offered to us by Jesus Christ. The struggle on a daily basis as a Christian is to remind ourselves of this. The purpose of our life is to cooperate with God’s plan, to those who much has been given much is expected and we will be asked to account for that. Were your treasures stored up on earth or in Heaven and to me I try to allow that to influence me in everything that I do."

Iowa’s evangelical voters should see this ad positively. By talking straight into the camera and invoking the name of Jesus Christ, Rubio comes across as authentic and the ad doesn’t look schmaltzy at all.

You know, all the big talk in Iowa is about Ted Cruz and Donald Trump and that makes sense based on the polling. But Rubio has really begun to endear himself to evangelicals in Iowa as well.

You may remember that The Brody File was on hand to obtain exclusive footage of him meeting privately with Iowa pastors back in November. The reception was over-the-top positive, especially when he talked so strongly, powerfully and openly about his faith.

A strong finish in Iowa (top three) will give him momentum heading into New Hampshire.

Let’s be clear: Ted Cruz and Donald Trump definitely appeal to evangelicals and Tea Party folks but Rubio is in the mix. He’s not afraid to talk about his faith. Actually, he embraces it and that will make him a player not just in Iowa but South Carolina and the SEC primaries as well.
