03-16-2017

Deputy Principal White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders spoke with us today on our Brody and Browder Show. We discussed a variety of subjects including the travel ban drama, the new budget, the latest on the GOP healthcare bill and the upcoming Neil Gorsuch Supreme Court nomination hearing.

On the two judges who blocked the WH Executive Order on the travel ban, Sanders says the president has the the power to implement it and the courts are playing politics. She says President Trump will not back down.

On the new budget, she says, “It’s just too big" and points out that every american has $60,000 worth of debt if they're born today. She says President Trump wants to streamline the process and the government as a whole. She also says this budget will be about national security but also will make sure it takes care of America's veterans by expanding their benefits.

On the GOP healthcare bill, Huckabee Sanders says the president is committed to repealing and replacing Obamacare even as they look at some adjustments to the bill. “There is a lot of support out there for this bill," she says. "We don’t want to just repeal it.”
