"They Gave Me the Wrong Baby!"

Baby Reksa’s mother, Mah, was heartbroken when she saw her son for the first time.

“I thought, ‘This is a mistake.  The doctor brought me the wrong baby!’”

Reksa was actually the second of Mah’s three children who had been born with a cleft palate.

“My mom said, ‘You already have a child with a cleft palate.  Why don’t you just give this one away! You have suffered enough,’” said Mah sadly.

“When I saw by baby brother, he has no lips just like me,” said 6-year-old Sona, the middle child.

CBN had provided a free operation for Sona.  Now, 6 years later, we arranged for Baby Reska to travel to a city hospital to receive his free surgery too.

“When I first saw my baby with his new lips I was so happy,” said a smiling Mah.  “All my worries were gone! Reksa looks beautiful-- like an angel!”

A few weeks later, we went to check on Baby Reska and he was doing great.

“Thank you for fixing my brother’s mouth and lips!” said Sony, Reksa eldest brother.
