Wendy's Green Drinks

Recipes

Before undertaking any new dietary plan or supplementation, consult with your health professional. It is vital that your personal medical condition—medications, diet, weight and other relevant information—be considered to determine appropriate use and dosage.

Wendy’s Green Smoothie

Green-Smoothie

1 or 2 handfuls of kale (organic if possible)
1 or 2 handfuls of spinach (organic if possible)
A few slices of cucumber with the skin on
Some broccoli (not too much)
1 green apple and/or fresh pineapple
Chia seeds (1 tbsp)
Flax seed oil or coconut oil (1 tbsp)
A bit of fresh ginger (if you have it)
Celery (if you have it)
Cold water (enough to blend the ingredients)
Combine ingredients and blend in a blender.

*Note: I don’t use sugar—only fresh fruit to sweeten—and this smoothie is not very sweet. If you like it sweeter, use more fruit or other natural sweeteners such as agave nectar or stevia.

Broccoli-Pineapple Juice

Broccoli

Ingredients: Broccoli, Pineapple or Green Apple & fresh ginger

Combine ingredients in a juicer.

Note: Spinach is nice with this too. I love the taste of broccoli and pineapple or green apple together; a bit of ginger or spinach adds even more health benefits plus gives the drink a little zing. You can also add a pinch of turmeric to make it super healthy.  Enjoy!
