Can You Be a DVD Missionary?

When Pat discovered Superbook, she knew it was the perfect way to teach her grandchildren about the Bible.

“It’s something that I didn’t have as a child," she says.  "I grew up in a church where they didn’t really teach from the Bible.  All the stories of the Old Testament, I had no clue what they were about.  My little three-year-old grandson knows more about the Bible stories than I did when I was in my thirties. That’s why I’m just so passionate about Superbook.  Sometimes I watch him watching it, he doesn’t blink his eyes. He is so spellbound by it. So if he can get these stories as a three-year-old, the foundation is there.”

Whenever it’s time for a celebration, Pat knows exactly what presents she’s going to give.

“I love to give Superbook to my grandkids at Christmas, Easter, birthdays and all the times in between. As soon as I get one in the mail from the Superbook club, they get that one that week. And they look so forward to it.”

By supporting CBN through the Superbook club, Pat is able to reach other kids around the world.

“I’d like to consider myself a DVD missionary,” says Pat with a smile.  “Becoming a member of the Superbook club, I get six DVDs. Three for me, and then I know that three of them are going to foreign countries. And to know that those stories are going all over the world is just, I’m so elated by that.  I don’t have opportunities to go on mission trips around the world. But I know those DVDs are.  We don’t want to keep it just for ourselves. It’s too good!”

Pat’s daughter-in-law, Erin, homeschools her children, and she’s always on the lookout for wholesome and educational learning tools like Superbook.

“The quality of Superbook is really excellent,” Erin explains.  “CBN is giving parents a tool to impart our faith to the next generation.”

“What Superbook has done for me is – it’s made me get into the Word of God,” Pat tells us.  “When faced with a crisis or dilemma, say okay, what does the Word of God say about this problem? How could I solve it that way?  I think once you watch one, you’ll be hooked and you’ll want to get them out there to all the kids you know!”
