8 tangerines
Whole cloves
Whole star anise (optional)
Hot glue gun
3 T bsp. ground ginger
3 T bsp. ground cinnamon
1 T bsp. ground allspice
Ribbon

1. Pierce tangerine rind with a fork, wooden pick, or ice pick
in desired decorative design. Place cloves in holes, rosette
sides out. Decorate with whole star anise using a glue gun,
if desired.

2. Combine ginger, cinnamon, and allspice. Roll tangerines
in spice mixture, and shake off excess. Tie with decorative
ribbon and store in a dry place.

{1} Pierce the skin of the tangerine using a wooden pick
or wooden skewer in desired decorative pattern. {2} Place
cloves, rosette sides out, into pierced holes. Glue whole
star anise into a decorative pattern using hot glue gun,
if desired. Roll tangerines in spice mixture and shake off
excess. {3} Wrap holiday ribbon around the tangerine,
being careful to avoid the clove designs. Tie securely into
bows. As pomander balls dry, the warm scents of citrus
and spice will permeate your room.
