Praying to a God Who Does Not Hear

Raising livestock in the hills of northwest India can be a very difficult job, especially if you don't have a close water source. Sohan had to walk two miles to get water for his family, cattle and goats. He begged his Hindu gods for help, but nothing changed. Then, a local pastor encouraged him to pray to Jesus.

Sohan explained, "In my heart, I would pray to Jesus every morning, noon time and evening for water close to my home."

It wasn't long until Sohan saw his prayers answered. CBN's Living Water's team came to his village and drilled a well.

"This well is a big blessing to my family and village," said Sohan. "It is also a blessing for my cattle and goats. Now, I can bathe them and give them plenty of water to drink. I am so happy."

Sohan and his family gave their lives to Christ, and they weren't the only ones. More than 160 other villagers were baptized because they saw the well as a tangible sign that God is real and loves them.

Sohan explained, "I believe Jesus Christ is the one, true God because He gave me water after I prayed for a well. My family drinks water from it and they are happy and at peace. When I die, I know I will be in Heaven with Jesus Christ."
