I recently emceed the annual gala of the Virginia Family Foundation. During that event I moderated a discussion between Sen. Ted Cruz and his father Rev. Rafael Cruz who both had interesting things to say about religious liberty and the direction of our nation.
I'll be releasing some of those clips in the days to come.
The first is Rev. Rafael Cruz explaining why he is encouraged that America's best days are still ahead. He predicts the nation is on the verge of a spiritual and political revival.
In this clip he looks back to the time of the founding of our nation to the Black Robe Regiment, a group of Christians - including pastors - who took up arms to fight for a cause they believed to be righteous - independence from Britain.
"That is our heritage," Rev. Cruz says.
