The U.S has announced a terror threat to its citizens traveling abroad in Turkey.
The U.S. Embassy says Washington received warnings Tuesday that terror groups plan to strike popular tourist destinations in the Western Asian nation.
The warnings come after Turkey has suffered six deadly suicide bombings since July -- all of which were claimed by either the Islamic State or Kurdish jihadists. Twelve German tourists were killed in January during an attack on one of Turkey's tourist areas.
Just last month, two Israeli-Americans, an Iranian, and an Israeli woman were killed in an ISIS attack in Istanbul.
The U.S. Embassy advises citizens to be vigilant in crowded public and tourist areas.
