Actress Alexa PenaVega shared a life-changing miracle with her fans on her Instagram and Twitter accounts which have as part of her pages.

PenaVega is known for her role as Carmen Cortez in the "Spy Kids" film series and Shio Wallace in the film "Repo."

The actresses' 93-year-old grandmother was hospitalized and was on life support.

"This week her lungs collapsed. Her heart started failing. Her stomach stopped working and she fell into a coma," PenaVega wrote in a post dated Feb. 14.

The 28-year-old said her family was preparing to say their final goodbyes to her "abuelita" (grandmother), whom she calls "Yeya," when she woke up from the coma.

She credits the power of prayer for her grandma's miraculous turnaround.

"My family's local church members came to her side and prayed over her for over five hours," wrote the actress.

PenaVega said that doctors can't explain what happened.

"When I say the power of prayer can bring forth the most amazing miracles -- THIS WILL FLOOR YOU. Our abuelita Yeya woke up completely healed," she revealed. "The Dr.'s (sic) cannot find anything wrong with her. They can't explain it. They keep running tests to try to make sense of it all."

She added, "God's grace is what healed her.  It is miracles like this that remind me of how great our God is."
