HGTV's home renovation star Chip Gaines topped the list of the 20 favorite celebrities among faith-based audiences. And fans are about to get a little more from the star who works alongside his wife Joanna on the popular "Fixer Upper" series.

Chip has written a new book. He announced the forthcoming project titled Capital Gaines to his followers on Instagram, along with a photo of the book's cover.

Chip's post read, "I've done so many dumb things in my day that I had enough material to write a book...so I did! Coming this fall: Capital Gaines - Smart Things I Learned Doing Stupid Stuff."

Chip was a serial entrepreneur before becoming a television star. And not every venture was as successful as the Magnolia company he now operates with Joanna Gaines in Waco, Texas.

His new book promises to relive and recount "some of his craziest antics and the lessons learned along the way."

The book is not scheduled to be released until October 17, 2017. You can learn more about it by clicking here
