Californians who signed up for Obamacare are having trouble finding doctors who can see them.

Many new enrollees reported the lists of available doctors under their new insurance plans are loaded with inaccurate information.

And people like Danielle Nelson, who lost her previous insurance because of Obamacare, are finding their doctors aren't covered by their new plans.

Nelson has non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. When she signed up for her new plan under Covered California she was told she could still keep seeing the same cancer doctor.

That turned out to be false.

"I'm a complete fan of the Affordable Care Act, but now I can't sleep at night," Nelson told the Los Angeles Times. "I can't imagine this is how President Obama wanted it to happen."

Major insurers are trying to hold down the costs of premiums, but in order to do that they've had to cut back on the number of doctors and hospitals available to new patients.

The situation has gotten so bad the California Assembly has now intervened on behalf of residents who can't see their previous doctor.

But the new legislation only applies to pregnant women and cancer patients.
