Saturated fats are not as bad for health as scientists once thought. A new study shows the big culprit is trans fats, the hydrogenated oils found in processed foods.

Researchers at McMaster University in Canada analyzed 50 studies involving over 1 million people.

They found that trans fats have no health benefits and instead raise the risk of death by 34 percent in less than a decade.

Research shows that trans fats increase the risk of heart disease.
