Israel Uncovers More Weapons Facilities in PA Areas
JERUSALEM, Israel – Following what seemed to be the beginning of another wave of terror attacks last weekend, Israeli security forces closed down two weapons manufacturing facilities and arrested 6 people in the Palestinian Authority-controlled city of Jenin and in several Arab villages.
Israeli forces have stepped up operations in search of weapons facilities in Judea and Samaria over the past year.
Forces confiscated a variety of weapons, including pistols, rifles, magazines and ammunition.
In the village of Surif, northwest of Hebron, security forces confiscated a Carlo, a sort of homemade machine gun that has gained popularity among Palestinian jihadists.
Forces also took in 12 suspects wanted for rock-throwing attacks and riots against Israeli troops, including four Hamas members.
