Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal has joined the long list of Republicans running for president.

"I'm not running for president to be somebody; I'm running for president to do something," conservative Christian governor said.

"The USA was made great by people who get things done, not lots of talk or entertaining speeches," he continued. "There are a lot of great talkers running for president aleady, but none of them, not one can match our record of shrinking the size of government. We've had enough of great talkers -- it is time for a doer."

Turning to the issue of immigration, Jindal said, "We cannot allow people to immigrate to this country so that they can use our freedoms to undermine our freedoms."

Jindal also took a tough stand on radical Islam.

"I will not be intimidated from talking about the fact that radical Islam is evil and must be destroyed. Containment is a strategy for losers," he said.

Jindal also drew attention to ongoing attacks on religious liberty in America, declaring that Christianity is "under assault."
