A new poll reveals that Americans trust presidential candidate Hillary Clinton more than Donald Trump.

When asked which candidate would "make America great again," the tagline of Trump's campaign, more Americans readily supported Clinton.

But the Associated Press-GfK poll shows voters aren't really that happy with either candidate. The poll reveals that 55 percent of Americans have a negative opinion of Clinton, while 69 percent have a negative view of Trump.

Americans only view Hillary as slightly more honest than Trump. Half of Americans believe Clinton is "not at all" honest, while seven in 10 say Trump is only "slightly honest" or "not at all."

When asked about issues ranging from immigration to health care, just 20 percent of Americans say Clinton represents them well on issues they care about, while only 15 percent say Trump represents their views very well.

The poll reveals that for many Americans this campaign is not about choosing the candidate they like the most, but the one they dislike the least.
