Trump: 'The Election Is Being Rigged by Corrupt Media'

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump claims the election is being rigged against him.

With 23 days left before Americans head to the polls, Trump says the media favors his Democratic rival and refuses to scrutinize all her controversies.

"The election is being rigged by corrupt media pushing false allegations and outright lies in an effort to elect Hillary Clinton president," Trump said Saturday.

Trump's running mate, Mike Pence, echoed similar sentiments, blaming reporters for ignoring what he called the "avalanche of evidence" against the Clinton campaign that has been showing up in WikiLeak releases of hacked emails.

"The American people are getting awful tired of this two-on-one fight, with many of you in the national media doing half of Hillary Clinton's work for her every day," Pence charged.

The news comes as more women continue to come forward accusing the billionaire of sexually inappropriate behavior – allegations Trump has denounced as "absolutely false."

"These people are horrible people," Trump said of his accusers. "They're horrible, horrible liars."

Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine questioned Trump's denials.

"Now he's blaming these women," the Virginia senator said. "He's making weird claims that, 'No, I couldn't have assaulted this person; she's not attractive enough to assault.' How bizarre is that?'"

With 23 days to go, some polls show Clinton with a lead, while others show an extremely tight race among likely voters.

"I mean, I think it's amazing that Trump is as close as he is right now, considering the one-sidedness of the news media barrage," observed former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

As both candidates prepare for the third and final matchup, "Saturday Night Live" had some fun mocking the last debate, with Alec Baldwin playing a blustering Trump and Kate McKinnon portraying a robotic Clinton.

"Hi Patrice," McKinnon's Clinton addresses an audience member during the SNL skit. "Let me start walking over to you just as I practiced: right, left, right, left, right, left."

Meanwhile, Baldwin spoofed Trump's struggle to respond to sexual assault charges.

"Listen," Baldwin's Trump says in the skit. "What I've have said is nothing compared to what Bill Clinton has done."

On a far more serious note, the Republican Party office in North Carolina was bombed over the weekend, setting campaign signs, supplies, and furniture on fire. No one was injured, but a message that said "Nazi Republicans get out of town or else" was spray-painted nearby.

Both Trump and Clinton tweeted out their support for the people at the office. The attack comes as polls show the race in the Tar Heel State tightening.

North Carolina is one of several key swing states, along with others like Ohio and Florida, which Trump and Clinton will be focusing on in the closing weeks of the presidential campaign.

Voters will be watching them both, including in the final debate this Wednesday.
