WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump met with Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah to address the diplomatic crisis involving Qatar and its Arab neighbors.

"We are being helped tremendously in the Gulf of Emir and his representatives on trying to get things back with various states and I think that is coming along nicely," said President Trump.

Trump has instructed Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to support the Kuwaiti mediation effort despite Qatar denying funding extremists. In a joint news conference in the White House East Room, Trump reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to al Sabah.

Trump also talked about North Korea, saying that military action is not inevitable.

"Nothing is inevitable. It would be great if something else could be worked out," said the president. "North Korea is behaving badly and it has to stop."
