Mother Teresa is remembered as one of the greatest humanitarians in the world and a new movie about her life opened in theaters this week. It's called "The Letters."

The movie chronicles the untold story of the struggle and isolation she endured as she served the poor in Calcutta, India.

The film finds inspiration from the personal letters Mother Teresa wrote over the last 40 years of her life.

CBN News spoke with the film's writer and director, William Riead, about how he came to create the film and about Mother Teresa and the battles she had in this life of service.
