The recent severe weather has wreaked havoc across the county.

In Cincinnatti, a pregnant woman and two of her children died when floodwaters from a nearby creek swept away her trailer. Five inches of rain in two hours turned the creek into a deadly torrent of water.

Miraculously, her fiance and two other children survived.

In Colorado, lightning struck two people, including Cora Jean Leenheer's husband, Jerry. He was hit while working in the yard, leaving his body lifeless and his clothes burnt and tattered.

Cora Jean recalled rushing to her husband's side.

"He had no pulse; he was not breathing," she said. "I just started doing chest compressions right away, praying and telling him to come back, I wasn't going to let him go."

"I thought I was a widow," she added.

It took 20 minutes, but he eventually took a breath and is expected to make a full recovery.
