The board of Creflo Dollar's megachurch is moving ahead with plans to buy a very expensive private jet for the ministry.

They say the $65 million Gulfstream jet is essential for the Atlanta pastor to continue his international ministry and aid work.

"We plan to acquire a Gulfstream G650 because it is the best, and it is a reflection of the level of excellence at which this organization chooses to operate," the Atlanta Journal and Constitution quoted leaders of World Changers Church International.

Dollar's appeal for millions in donations sparked a lot of criticism earlier this year. He responded to his membership in a video message posted on YouTube.

"If I want to believe God for a $65 million plane, you cannot stop me," he said. "You cannot stop me from dreaming. I'm gonna dream until Jesus comes."

His board says a revamped video appeal for donations will be released soon.

The ministry says they're asking for donations from "a specific community of like-minded people" and not the public at large.
