Barbary Pirates: America's 1st Encounter with Islam

Fox News journalist Brian Kilmeade reveals the current war on terror is not the first time America has battled Islamic radicals.

Kilmeade is co-author of the new book, titled Thomas Jefferson and the Tripoli Pirates: The Forgotten War That Changed American History.

In it, he shows how the war with the Barbary Pirates was America's first encounter with the modern-day scourge known as radical Islam.
