Donations are plummeting for the nation's largest Boy Scout council, which is located out in Orem, Utah.

Things have gotten so bad that the local Scout council in Orem is planning layoffs.

The plunge comes after the Boy Scouts of America lifted their ban on gay scout leaders this past summer.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports the leader of the Scout group in Orem says 99 percent of the Scouts there are Mormons.

He thinks they're probably angry over the gay leader decision by the national Boy Scouts.
