Feds Investigate Death of Baltimore's Freddie Gray

Federal agents are now investigating the case of a young black man who died in police custody in Baltimore.

The probe will determine if officers are to blame for the spinal injury that caused 25-year-old Freddie Gray's death.

Meanwhile, protests are growing in the city. People are rallying against what they feel is only the latest contentious case in the ongoing debate over how police treat black men.

Protester Lisa Harrison told reporters, "Police brutality is at an all-time high, and it needs to stop."

Tim Chin was also among the throngs of people protesting in the streets Tuesday.

"We're not going back down. It's a serious issue; it's a fundamental institutional problem that we're having with police departments across the country from coast to coast," Chin told reporters.

Baltimore's police chief says he will not comment until the investigation is complete.

At a Tuesday news conference, Deputy Police Commissioner Jerry Rodriguez said, "We had no evidence, physical or video or statements of any use of force."
