Severe flooding is sweeping across the South, forcing many people out of their homes.

People in parts of Mississippi are concerned about their homes being flooded by quickly rising waters from nearby lakes.

In Louisiana, flooding left more than 5,000 homes underwater in some areas. It topped five feet above roads.

"It's gettin where it comes up so fast; you can't prepare for it," Michael Webb, a Louisiana resident, said. "It came up a couple feet in just a few hours. Between the floods and the hurricanes, it's been pretty rough."

As the waters recede, residents are trying to get back in their homes and CBN's Operation Blessing is there to help - assisting families with gutting homes, removing debris, re-stocking personal necessities, and serving hot meals from a mobile kitchen.

Operation Blessing also has support teams providing emotional and spiritual support during this recovery time.
