Hurricane Matthew Already Soaking Jamaica, Haiti
The outer bands of Hurricane Matthew soaked Jamaica and Haiti on Monday. The heavy rains of the Category 4 storm flooded streets and forced many people to head to emergency shelters.
Two deaths were reported in Haiti; that raises the total for the storm to at least four.

Weather forecasters expect Matthew to be catastrophic. It had sustained winds of 140 mph as it moved north, up from 130 mph earlier on Monday.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami believes the center will pass just east of Jamaica and near or over the southwestern tip of Haiti early Tuesday, before making its way to eastern Cuba. The National Hurricane Center called Matthew "extremely dangerous."
"People who are impacted by things like flooding and mudslides hopefully would get out and relocate because that's where we have seen loss of life in the past," Richard Pasch, senior hurricane specialist, said.
Weather experts say Hurricane Matthew is the strongest storm to hit the Atlantic region since Hurricane Felix in 2007.
