Next for Tebow: Book Salesman

As if a baseball and a broadcasting career weren't enough, Tim Tebow is about to launch a book. His latest, Shaken: Discovering Your True Identity in the Midst of Life's Storms, will be released on Oct. 25.

The 29-year-old former Heisman winner discusses his triumphs - and public failures - and shares how his identity isn't just in being a world-famous athlete.

The book should not affect his baseball career per se; he played his last game with the New York Mets' Instructional League team on Monday. He smacked a single against farmhands from the Miami Marlins, finishing 1-for-4 with a walk. He also logged five innings in left field, according to Newsday.

In his brief three-game pro baseball career, Tebow hit .286 (4-for-14), with two walks, two RBIs, and a headline-making home run.

The football-hero-turned-baseball-hopeful was slated to play in one final Instructional League game on Thursday, but that game has been canceled due to Hurricane Matthew.

The next step, according to ESPN's Adam Rubin, will be to play for the Scottsdale Scorpions, the defending champions of the Arizona Fall League. The AFL season runs from Oct. 11 through Nov. 19.

In the meantime, the former quarterback will return to his weekend duties as college football analyst. This weekend, he and SEC Nation will be visiting his alma mater, the University of Florida, ahead of its game against Louisiana State.
