Fayetteville, North Carolina, is still suffering from the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, but with the help from CBN's Operation Blessing prayers are being answered.

Pastor Al Brice from Covenant Love Church in Fayetteville shared how CBN helped his local community.

"I just prayed and I said, 'Lord you've got to show me, you've got to send help. You've got to do something so that we can reach out to all of these people and help them, but I don't know what to do,'" he said.

How You Can Help:
Give to Operation Blessing

Operation Blessing is accepting volunteers daily Monday – Saturday at Covenant Love Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina and at the CBN in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Orientation will begin at 8:30 a.m. and teams will be sent out from there.

Operation Blessing will provide everything you need - work assignments, tools, and lunch. All we ask is that you provide your own transportation to and from the work sites. No reservations are needed for daily volunteers.

Two hours later another local pastor called Brice and told him about the help that CBN wanted to provide for the area.

"He called me and he said, 'Hey Pastor Al, I just talked to someone at CBN and they told me that they were coming up from Florida and were bringing their trucks, their trailers. They are bringing all their equipment. Their national relief organization is coming up and wanted to know if they could park everything in your parking lot,'" he recalled.

"I literally started crying, and I said 'yes.' I shouted it, 'yes!' I had tears coming," Brice said.

So far, the Home Depot Foundation has reached out to CBN's team members by giving a grant to help with the Hurricane Matthew efforts. The team is currently working with four organizations: The American Red Cross, Operation Blessing, Team Rubicon, and Convoy of Hope.

The volunteer locations are in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Fayetteville, North Carolina.

The team is also partnering with three churches in Fayetteville: Covenant Love Church, Manna Church, and Riverhouse Church. Sixty volunteers have contributed daily and recently, 148 showed up on a Saturday to help.

In addition to sending volunteers out into the community, the team has served more than 2,000 hot lunches and dinners to residents and volunteers. A "drive thru" bottled water distribution has also been set up.
