A 25-year-old Warwick, Rhode Island, man has pleaded guilty to planning ISIS-inspired attacks, including a plot to behead conservative blogger Pamela Geller.

Prosecutors said Nicholas Rovinski conspired with two other men to murder Geller for her outspoken criticism of Islam.

Last year, Geller hosted a Prophet Mohammed cartoon drawing contest in Texas. The contest sparked outrage in the Muslim community. The event ended in gunfire after police shot two Muslim gunmen to death.

But Rovinki's target was not just Geller. He also planned to kill thousands of Americans.

Federal prosecutor Stephanie Siegmann told the Boston Herald that Rovinksi wrote two disturbing letters from jail. One letter says he recruited an inmate who would help in "taking down the Eastern Coast" and post "their juicy heads on display."

Rovinski's lawyer, William Fick, said in court that his client was a "vulnerable young man who was seduced by extremist ideology."

Now, Rovinski faces a sentence of 15 to 22 years behind bars.

"I feel that in the interest of myself and the people of the United States, that I should pay for the crimes that I have committed," Rovinski told the judge in court.
