Monday's Supreme Court ruling that businesses are allowed to hold religious views is giving a major Catholic broadcaster a reprieve from Obamacare's contraception mandate.

Eternal World Television Network in Birmingham, Alabama, is appealing after a federal judge dismissed its lawsuit challenging the mandate.

On Monday, a three-judge panel of the 11th Circuit Court ruled that the network does not have to comply with the law while the appeal goes forward.

The panel cited the high court's Hobby Lobby ruling in its decision to block enforcement of the mandate.

EWTN chairman and CEO Michael P. Warsaw was pleased with the lower court's decision.

"We are thankful that the Eleventh Circuit protected our right to religious freedom while we pursue our case in court," Breitbart.com quoted Warsaw. "We want to continue to practice the same Catholic faith that we preach to the world every day."
