Wheaton College's Mission and Ministry Conference to Focus on How the Church Can Reach Young Adults

Next month Wheaton College will hold an inaugural mission and ministry conference to focus on how the church can reach emerging adults.

A 2015 Pew Research survey showed that more than one-third of young adults aged 18 to 24 do not identify with any religion, compared to one in four in 2007.

And last month, Lifeway Research reported that two-thirds of young adults who attended a protestant church regularly as a teen dropped out for at least a year between the ages of 18 and 22.

The Wheaton conference will look at why this younger generation is leaving the church and how believers can help to draw them back into a relationship with God and the body of Christ.

CBN News anchor Heather Sells interviewed Dr. Ed Stetzer, the Billy Graham professor of Church, Mission, and Evangelism at Wheaton College about what's happening between young people and the church. Click the player above to watch the interview.
