Authorities in Canada have arrested 10 young people suspected of wanting to travel to Iraq and Syria to join ISIS.

The arrests occurred over the weekend at Montreal's Trudeau International Airport. No charges have been brought at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.

All 10 young persons had their passports confiscated. Meanwhile, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police are asking that privacy of the youths' families be respected.

"These are very difficult times for the relatives and loved ones of the persons arrested, as the decision to leave the country was not that of the family, but of a single family member," police said.

"As a result, family members often find themselves at a complete loss and unable to understand the decision made by the youth," they said.
