Durban Christian Center Goes Up in Flames

The Durban Christian Centre, one of the largest churches in Durban, South Africa, went up in flames Tuesday.

Firefighters battled the huge blaze for several hours at the church popularly known as the Jesus Dome. The IOL website reports a massive explosion followed by a cloud of smoke erupted from the multi-million dollar building.

No injuries were reported and everyone who worked at the church has been accounted for, according to ENCA news. There is no word of how the blaze started.

Social media users filled #durbanchristiancentre on Twitter with images and video. Noeleen Taylor described the fire on her Twitter account: "It looks like a volcano. It's really bad."

Another tweeted, "Jesus dome is such a beautiful haven of God and I just hope that everyone is okay."

"Please family, lift up DCC in prayer," wrote another.
