Muslim tribesmen are suspected in the murder of 16 Christians in northern Nigeria.

Authorities suspect members of the Fulani Tribe, considered the largest nomadic tribe in the world, attacked several Christian villages in the Plateau state.

The Fulani are 99 percent Muslim. Morning Star News reports the group burned through villages, shooting randomly and destroying about 200 homes.

One man from the village of Gwon said they killed his wife, four children and mother.

"They shot sporadically and set my house ablaze, killing all members of my family, and the entire village has been destroyed," he said.
