The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking a Business Intelligence Report Writer to utilize reporting tools to evaluate and develop reporting structures for various business units across the organization. This professional will proactively generate and compile reports based on findings, complete with recommended improvements or new requirements for business processes, operational procedures, and their corresponding reporting structures.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of report writing development and best practices
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Data Studio, including dashboard and scorecard design and development 
  • Working knowledge of Google BigQuery
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written communication and technical documentation skills
  • Strong oral presentation skills with the ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish professional rapport with all levels of management and staff
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as an effective member of a collaborative on-site and remote team
  • Flexible with ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines

Desired Skills:

  • Working knowledge of PowerBI
  • Understanding of relational and dimensional database structures, theories, principles, and practices
  • Working knowledge of MS SQL Server and T-SQL
  • Understanding of data warehouse architecture, data mining, and business requirements gathering and analysis
  • Familiarity with dashboard and scorecard design and development using SSRS, PowerBI, Tableau, and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and Microsoft SharePoint
  • Proficient in MS Office to include Excel and ability to learn new software and systems
  • Familiarity with iterative development and common Agile practices 
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
