Content Marketing Strategist – Military Ministry

Development – Virginia Beach, VA 

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking a marketing professional to plan, create, execute and measure marketing strategies that grow CBN’s military ministry outreach, Helping the Home Front.  This creative opportunity will implement cross-platform messaging and content to raise awareness, expand the network of church partnerships, increase donors and corporate sponsors, and enrich overall engagement.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Strong background in developing and implementing integrated messaging strategies and campaigns with track record of increasing engagement and revenue
  • Understand best practices and trends in social marketing and audience engagement
  • Working knowledge of traditional marketing and emerging digital media best practices
  • Proficient in tactical use of all social media
  • Strong ability to strategize, implement and integrate multi-channel campaigns with specific objectives
  • Proficient in managing large amounts of data and ability to interpret and extract meaningful insight from data
  • Proficient in MS Office, digital/social media, donor database software, marketing automation, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical skills across digital/social platforms with ability to analyze, monitor, evaluate and alter strategic marketing plans
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to cast vision and articulate the mission, goals, and values of the organization
  • Understand strengths/weaknesses of social content and email platforms and how to effectively use them
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Strong ability to manage multiple campaigns, work well under pressure, and consistently meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to build consensus, work effectively across departments and interact with external publics in a positive and professional manner
  • Flexible with ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of a team
  • Specific heart for the military community desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major or concentration in communications, public relations or related business-development

The mission of Helping the Home Front is to provide financial resources to ministries and churches across the U.S. who support and disciple struggling military families during deployments and unexpected hardships.
