The Desktop Engineer designs and implements end user computing solutions that are secure, useful, consistent, simple, stable, and precise. This position is focused on solution design, implementation and troubleshooting.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • B.S. Engineering or related degree, or 3-5 years of experience preferred
  • Desired Certifications: MCITP, MCSA, ACSP or VCP
  • Experience using Microsoft and Apple technologies
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS and, DHCP
  • Proficient administrating Windows 10
  • Proficient administrating macOS X and above
  • Experience automating common desktop administration tasks for Microsoft and Apple platforms
  • Experience maintaining desktop operating systems security and patch management
  • Experience with designing and using active directory and group policy
  • Experience integrating macOS with Windows active directory
  • Experience with virtual desktop technologies
  • Familiarity with operations planning and design
  • Knowledge and experience with VMware vSphere and Horizon required
  • Knowledge and experience with Jamf Pro
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Intune
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to establish rapport with all level of management and staff
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team
  • Flexible with ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
  • Project Management experience a plus
