Director, Hunger Relief Programs

Operation Blessing (OB) is seeking a humanitarian programs manager to direct the development and execution of its U.S. Hunger Relief programs.  This experienced professional will collaborate with OB leadership to develop strategies, manage, and implement programs that address the needs of food insecure households in the U.S.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Senior level program management experience for humanitarian nonprofit organization
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nonprofit business practices and initiatives
  • Experience in managing a Hunger Relief Program is preferred
  • Excellent ability to lead, manage and motivate staff
  • Strong experience in budget development, monitoring and evaluation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with application emphasis in Excel and Access
  • Excellent logistical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish professional rapport with all levels of management, staff and outside public
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as be an effective member of a team
  • Flexible with ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  •  Ability to travel
