It began several years ago as an urgent call to pray for the nation and has spread into a world-wide prayer movement.

"The Call" returns Saturday to the mall in D.C. -- that's where it all began back in Sept. 2000. Nearly half a million people gathered in the nation's capitol that year to fast and pray for the country, the presidential elections and spiritual revival.

Then just days after 9-11, another Call was held in Boston to pray for the healing of our nation. The Call then moved to New York, Kansas City, California and elsewhere. Last October, the call even went to "sin city" -- Las Vegas.

"I believe there is no safe place for the devil," Lou Engle, co-founder of The Call said. "We're believing for miracles and a prayer movement that will erupt in this city and contend with the darkness. That's our dream. That's why we've come."

In May, The Call went to Jerusalem for the first time, where gentile and Jewish believers came together to pray for the spiritual eyes of Israel to be opened to their Messiah - Jesus.

Engle and the Justice House of Prayer has a unique burden to see revival come to America and the end of abortion. The focus is turning the nation back to God through intense worship, prayer and fasting.
