Information Technology – Remote (U.S. based)

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is looking for a Google Analytics Specialist to implement Google Analytics and enhance CBN’s data analytics capabilities.  This experienced professional will:

  • Be the subject matter expert in the web and app reporting technology stack
  • Document analytics configurations for Google Analytics, Google BigQuery, and integrations to third party data sources
  • Communicate analytic requirements and best practices with business users, content developers, web and app developers, and reporting resources
  • Suggest best practices for implementing analytics tracking
  • Document, validate, and audit analytics implementations
  • Coordinate tasks and priorities for different business users and technology teams
  • Welcome the challenge of helping a media organization establish an accurate, comprehensive, and robust analytics implementation

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in analytics, statistics, marketing, or other related field. Or, equivalent years of hands-on experience within an analyst function, military service, or related field
  • Experience building Google Analytics measurement strategies
  • Strong technical and working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google BigQuery, and Google Data Studio
  • Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager (GTM)
  • Understanding of Google Analytics versions and supporting technologies (GA 360, Universal Analytics, GA4, Firebase, etc.)
  • Hands on experience with ANSI-SQL
  • Strong written communication and technical documentation skills
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
  • Passion for helping clients solve complex business and marketing questions
  • Strong oral presentation skills with the ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to establish professional rapport with all levels of management and business users
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as an effective member of a collaborative on-site and remote team
  • Flexible with ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working in Agile teams
  • Experience with the introduction of new technologies and standards in an unstructured environment
  • Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and IT practices
  • Knowledge of legal compliance regulations such as protection of personal and financial information (GDPR, CCPA, NY SHIELD ACT, PII, etc.)
  • Understanding of different database architectures and technologies (relational, data warehouses, graph, unstructured, cloud, etc.)
