Google Analytics Specialist
Information Technology – Remote (U.S. based)
The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is looking for a Google Analytics Specialist to implement Google Analytics and enhance CBN’s data analytics capabilities. This experienced professional will:
- Be the subject matter expert in the web and app reporting technology stack
- Document analytics configurations for Google Analytics, Google BigQuery, and integrations to third party data sources
- Communicate analytic requirements and best practices with business users, content developers, web and app developers, and reporting resources
- Suggest best practices for implementing analytics tracking
- Document, validate, and audit analytics implementations
- Coordinate tasks and priorities for different business users and technology teams
- Welcome the challenge of helping a media organization establish an accurate, comprehensive, and robust analytics implementation
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in analytics, statistics, marketing, or other related field. Or, equivalent years of hands-on experience within an analyst function, military service, or related field
- Experience building Google Analytics measurement strategies
- Strong technical and working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google BigQuery, and Google Data Studio
- Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager (GTM)
- Understanding of Google Analytics versions and supporting technologies (GA 360, Universal Analytics, GA4, Firebase, etc.)
- Hands on experience with ANSI-SQL
- Strong written communication and technical documentation skills
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
- Passion for helping clients solve complex business and marketing questions
- Strong oral presentation skills with the ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to establish professional rapport with all levels of management and business users
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as an effective member of a collaborative on-site and remote team
- Flexible with ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Experience with the introduction of new technologies and standards in an unstructured environment
- Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and IT practices
- Knowledge of legal compliance regulations such as protection of personal and financial information (GDPR, CCPA, NY SHIELD ACT, PII, etc.)
- Understanding of different database architectures and technologies (relational, data warehouses, graph, unstructured, cloud, etc.)
