I was once the queen of whipping cream and butter," is how Holly Clegg describes her cooking and entertaining style prior to her Trim & Terrific cookbook series. Now, proclaimed as the ""Queen of Quick" and over 600,000 copies later, Holly reigns supreme when it comes to healthy, delicious family meals and party fare.

Turned off by both diets and diet foods, Holly took her culinary training and experience as a caterer and began to formulate recipes. Her mission? To give cooks the ability to put a delicious, healthy meal on the table in about 30 minutes.

As Holly adds cookbooks to her Trim & Terrific series, her "never sacrifice taste" philosophy remains in tact. Her message is simple: food that is good for you can be delicious and easy to prepare. Holly's reputation for her healthier approach continually garners national media coverage. Holly makes regular local and network television appearances including and Fox & Friends and NBC Weekend Today Show. She writes for national food magazines and Internet food sites. Holly also serves as the national spokeswoman for Louisiana Sweet Potatoes and has done media spokesperson work for diet Coke, Pace Salsa/Campbell's Soup, Nature Sweet Tomatoes, and Salmon of the Americas. Holly recently did spokesperson work for Teflon/DuPont and was featured in full-page Teflon nonstick cookware ads with her Trim & Terrific recipes in national magazines including People, Self, Real Simple, Ladies Home Journal, Bon Appetit, USA Today, plus many more.

A wife and mother first, Holly understands the challenges of busy families. Her personal experience of running a household of five inspired the subject matter for each of the Trim & Terrific books. Her recipes require familiar ingredients and include easy-to-follow instructions and quick tips; this combination is the main focus of her Trim & Terrific series.

Holly personally tests all of her recipes in her home and as a result, has three avid young cooks. "Children love to cook, and if you include them, you can make positive, lasting impressions," Holly said. Based on her experience, Holly included a Kid's In The Kitchen Chapter filled with fun, delicious recipes in The New Holly Clegg Trim & Terrific Cookbook. If you're wondering if you can really make a healthy impression on kids, Holly has proof. "My youngest child did not have a fast food hamburger until she was 15 years old, and it wasn't because I didn't allow it. I didn't have to pick up fast food for my children because I knew I could get something on the table in 30 minutes."

Holly Clegg and noted oncologist Gerald Miletello, MD have released an updated edition of Eating Well Through Cancer: Easy Recipes & Recommendations During & After Treatment with color photographs, new recipes and updated valuable information. The book is designed to help cancer patients better tolerate treatment and maintain a healthy lifestyle after treatment. Miletello said he has felt the need for this cookbook for 15 years in order to answer his patient's most frequently asked question, "What should I eat?"

The book is a collection of 250 recipes evaluated with regard to their nutritional value, taste, simplicity, availability of ingredients and preparation time. The book also includes a few medicinal recipes for a basic weight gain shake and substitutions. However, most of the recipes are familiar everyday dishes with a healthy twist.

"Nutrition is important in prevention and sustaining a healthy lifestyle," says Clegg. Featured in Cure Magazine, Coping with Cancer Magazine, Los Angeles Times Syndicate and newspapers nationwide.
