Almetia Mack: In a Pinch

Almetia Mack wants to tell you a story -- her story -- about how watching 'The 700 Club' changed her life.

I was flipping the mattress on my bed when I felt this pain. I thought, It’s just because [of] the way I flipped it. It will go away. But it got worse.

The pain started shooting down the right side. It would go from the back of my neck down my arm, and it would shoot under my elbow and go into my hands. They would become very numb.

If I would pick something up and that pain would shoot, it would really cause me to [drop what I was holding].

I made an appointment to go to see the doctor. He told me, “Almetia, you have a pinched nerve. We’re gonna have to set you up with a physical therapist. You may have to have surgery.”

I told him, "No, I’m believing God to heal me.”

think it was about 10 days later. I came into the living room. I turned the TV on. I was flipping through the channels, and Gordon [Robertson] was on. God was using him in a word of knowledge. He began to say: “It alternates between numbness and shooting pain that goes from the shoulder through your bicep into your elbow. “

When he said right hand, numbness, pain shooting down from your shoulder and your neck, I knew it was me!

Gordon said, “What you couldn’t do with that right arm, do it now, and realize that God has healed and has restored you, in Jesus’s name.”

I began to turn my head. I began to raise my hands, and I began to praise God. I knew that God had healed me. I was saying, “God, I thank you! I thank you! I thank you for healing me!” The pain was gone and the numbness was gone.

I know that God hears me when I pray. We should be confident that when we pray and ask God to heal us, we should be confident and know that God will do that.
